Privacy Policy
Effective 24 September 2026
TinyCode Technologies Pvt Ltd ("TinyCode", "we", "us") operates tinyHR, a cloud HR and payroll platform for Indian businesses. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and your rights.
1. Controller and processor roles
For your own account and billing data, TinyCode is the data controller. For employee data your organisation enters into TinyHR — records, attendance, salary, PAN, and bank details — your organisation is the data controller, and TinyCode acts only as a processor on your instructions.
2. Information we collect
- Account data — your name, email address, and profile photo, via our authentication provider, Clerk.
- Workspace data — your business name, address, PAN/TAN/GSTIN, and entity type.
- Employee data (entered by your organisation) — names, contact details, employment details, salary structure, bank account and PAN details, attendance, leave and payroll records, and any documents uploaded.
- Payment data — the name, email, and phone number provided to start a payment, plus the amount and order/transaction identifiers. Card, UPI, and net-banking details are collected and processed directly by our payment gateway partner and never stored on our servers.
- Usage data — basic technical logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) generated automatically as you use the Service.
3. How we use this information
To provide and operate the Service, process payments, send transactional emails (such as invitations and payslip download links), maintain security, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Third parties we share data with
We use the following service providers, each processing data only for the stated purpose:
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- PayU Payments Pvt Ltd (and, when active, Cashfree Payments (India) Pvt Ltd) — payment processing for plan upgrades.
- Tigris — storage for uploaded documents and generated payslips.
- Our transactional email provider — delivering emails such as invites and payslip links.
We do not sell personal data to anyone.
5. Data storage and security
Access to customer data is restricted to what is needed to operate and support the Service. Documents such as payslips are shared through time-limited, private download links rather than public files.
6. Data retention
We retain account and workspace data for as long as your account is active. Your organisation controls how long employee and payroll records are kept within TinyHR; note that Indian labour and tax law may separately require your organisation to retain certain payroll records for a minimum period. On account closure, data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by writing to accounts [a] tinycode.in. If you are an employee whose data was entered by your employer's workspace, such requests are generally directed to your employer, who controls that data; we will assist them as a processor.
8. Cookies
We use only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in, set by our authentication provider. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Children's privacy
TinyHR is a business tool not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
